The Virgin Islands Broadband Office (VIBO), a division within the Virgin Islands Office of Management and Budget (OMB), has announced an extension for the BEAD grant application deadline. This extension provides additional time for interested parties to submit their applications for this significant grant opportunity.
The BEAD Grant program is a critical initiative aimed at closing the digital divide across the territory. The funding will support a wide range of internet literacy and broadband access programs and initiatives that align with the three Notice(s) of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) released earlier in April. These NOFOs include:
VIBO encourages all potential applicants to take advantage of the deadline extension. This grant is designed to empower community organizations to revamp their existing facilities with new hardware and technologies, and to foster innovative collaborations that will ensure the Virgin Islands keeps pace with technological advances.
