Tatiana Bertrand

Tatiana is a proud Dominican, originally from the beautiful Nature Island of the Commonwealth of Dominica. She describes herself as energetic, outgoing, ambitious, and driven. A devoted wife and mother to a six-year-old daughter, Tatiana balances the demands of family life with a rewarding professional career. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of the Virgin Islands.   Since joining the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Tatiana has appreciated the organization's employee benefits, particularly the health insurance, retirement plan, and paid leave. Reflecting on her time at OMB, she fondly recalls the sense of unity and camaraderie that existed when she first joined in 2018 and hopes to see that spirit continue to grow throughout the organization.   Tatiana currently serves as a Senior Performance Analyst, where she is responsible for developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across various government agencies. Her work also includes assisting agencies with strategic planning initiatives and performance management programs, helping to ensure that government operations remain focused, measurable, and accountable.    Tatiana joined OMB in 2018 as a Disaster Budget Analyst before being promoted to Senior Grants Analyst. She resigned from the organization in 2022 but returned in 2025, bringing her experience back to OMB as a Senior Performance Analyst, where she continues to make meaningful contributions.   Looking ahead, Tatiana says she is keeping an open mind about the future. While she does not know exactly where life will take her in the coming years, she embraces the uncertainty with optimism and believes that new opportunities often arise when least expected.   One of her proudest professional accomplishments is earning her bachelor's degree before becoming a mother. Although she has considered pursuing additional education, she recognizes that this season of life is dedicated to raising her daughter. Once her daughter becomes more independent, she hopes to continue her academic journey. Personally, Tatiana considers motherhood her greatest achievement. Despite its many challenges, becoming a mother has given her a profound sense of purpose and motivates her to continue striving for success both at home and in her career.   When it comes to motivation, Tatiana admits that one thing keeps her especially inspired, a booked vacation. An avid traveler, she enjoys exploring new places and works hard to make those adventures possible. She aims to travel two or three times each year, with some of her most memorable experiences including visits to Paris and London. Her adventurous spirit extends beyond travel. Tatiana enjoys activities such as ziplining, ATV riding, and kayaking, and still has several adventures on her bucket list, including parasailing.  For anyone beginning a career in performance management, Tatiana offers simple but valuable advice: "Do your best, become familiar with the systems, and never stop learning. The more knowledge you gain, the more successful you'll become."
